At Connected Voice, our mission has always been to champion strong, fair, and connected communities. We’re taking that commitment even further with a refreshed strategy that places collaboration, inclusion, and impact at the heart of everything we do.

Across the UK, we have seen a rise in racist aggression, anti-migrant violence, hate crimes, and the increasing normalisation of extremist views by public figures. This has led to people in our communities feeling unsafe and facing increasing violence.

Over the months of May to July 2025, Connected Voice, in partnership with Newcastle Council, The Relationships Project, and the Centre for Creative Conversation, put together a series of workshops to create a network of bridgebuilders across Newcastle. 

Connected Voice's very first Gateshead Volunteer Recruitment Fair is taking place on Wednesday 8th October 10:00am-1:00pm at Gateshead Leisure Centre, Alexandra Rd, Gateshead NE8 4JA

Small Sparks Plus is a grants scheme from Newcastle City Council, administered by Connected Voice. It is designed to help VCSE organisations improve the health and wellbeing of their local communities.

Connected Voice is proud to deliver VCSE infrastructure support services and manage the Gateshead Volunteer Centre on behalf of Gateshead Council. These services play a vital role in supporting the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector across the borough.

While Pride Month is officially in June, there are events and celebrations taking place all summer long here in the North East, from large scale festivals and marches to smaller networking and grassroots events.

After another long period of ups and downs and twists and turns in the voluntary sector, Third Sector Trends is back to find out what’s going on.  We’d really like you to take part so that we can build a better picture of what is happening here in the North East.
