Support and Development Manager
We are looking for a Support and Development Manager to lead our Support and Development service for VCSE organisations across Gateshead and Newcastle. This is a rewarding full-time role managing a dedicated team that provides holistic support to local organisations.
Our Support and Development team delivers a wide range of services including training, networking events, governance advice, funding support, and information. The team also manages the OurGateshead community website, a vital resource for local groups and residents.
We are seeking a people-focused leader who can motivate individuals and foster strong working relationships. You will have a solid understanding of the needs of the VCSE sector in Newcastle and Gateshead, particularly small and medium-sized organisations. You will be able to build and maintain positive relationships both internally and externally, and confidently represent and amplify the voices of the VCSE sector.
You will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and well-organised, with strong strategic leadership and management skills. A good head for business and the ability to generate income to support our sustainability are essential.
This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a team that supports and develops VCSE organisations to strengthen their capabilities, while also enhancing your own skills, knowledge, and experience.
- This is a full time, permanent role (37 hours per week)
- The salary is £37,822 to £42,024
- The closing date is 12pm on 11 December 2025 with interviews being held on 17 December 2025
