Volunteering Newcastle
With the above video, we are proud to showcase the voices of volunteers and colleagues from across the North of Tyne Volunteer Development and Social Action Programme, a partnership involving seven North of Tyne partner organisations: VODA, Connected Voice, Volunteer Centre Newcastle, Northumberland CVS, Community Action Northumberland, Blyth Valley CVS, and The Key.
Volunteering Newcastle is part of this work, delivered by both Connected Voice and Volunteer Centre Newcastle. This was originally funded by the North of Tyne Combined Authority under the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, which is now administered by the North East Combined Authority (NECA).
Our Volunteering Newcastle service supports volunteer-involving organisations that operate in Newcastle through the following:
- Reviewing your volunteer programme through the Volunteer Health Check and providing organisational support around working with volunteers with additional needs.
- Listening to your views, concerns and ideas as a volunteer-involving organisation and taking these to local decision makers to generate new initiatives and shape the future of volunteering in Newcastle.
- The Newcastle Volunteer Coordinators' and Managers' Network - a new network of professionals that meet quarterly at One Strawberry Lane.
