We are Tyne Rivers Trust, the only environmental charity dedicated to looking after the iconic Tyne and its tributaries.

We are looking to recruit an energetic individual to oversee the management and development of the Trust’s comprehensive and varied programme of volunteer activities that runs throughout the year across the Tyne catchment in both isolated rural areas and urban sites in Newcastle.

The role is to manage and develop our volunteer service.
We currently have a bank of regular volunteers which we want to increase and provide more development opportunities.
The role involves devising strategies and plans for recruiting volunteers, enhancing learning opportunities and referral pathways to Pottery Bank Community Centre, Community Allotment and Garden and Food Hub as gateways to volunteering.

Generously funded by the Henry Smith Charity, Journey Enterprise’s Work Coaches will support adults with learning disability in to employment, self-employment and volunteering. Through skills development, training, volunteering and work experience placements we aim to enable Clients to achieve real work outcomes. The role will involve frequent travel across our area of operations and to each of our four Hubs.
