Funding News

Paul Hamlyn Foundation - Migration Fund

The Foundation is currently accepting applications to the Migration Fund, previously known as the Shared Ground Fund.

Edward Gostling Foundation - Capital Grant Programme

Capital grants of up to £250,000 are available to expand the capacity of UK registered charities. This programme encourages organisations to bring forward capital projects costing £1 million or more that aim to boost capacity.

BlueSpark Foundation - Education projects

Grants are available to help children and young people reach their full potential by supporting educational, cultural, sporting and other projects. The funding can also be for physical assets, services or provision of experiences.

Most grants will be under £5,000.

UKSPF - People and Skills Open Call

Deadline: Tue, 30/04/2024 - 17:00

Gateshead Council are inviting organisatons to apply for an open call for projects under the UKSPF People and Skills Investment Priority.

The objectives are:

Comic Relief - Community Justice Fund

Deadline: Thu, 02/05/2024 - 12:00

Grants between £200,000 and £450,000 are available for Led By and For organisations specialising in racial justice and/or gender justice.

Comic Relief is seeking to fund:

Comic Relief - Safe & Supported Beyond Homelessness Fund

Deadline: Tue, 07/05/2024 - 15:00

Core funding up to £200,000 is available for 3 to 5 years for organisations that specialise in providing support to young people aged 16 to 25 who are at risk of, or experiencing homelessness.

Greggs Foundation - Community Grants

Deadline: Fri, 24/05/2024 - 12:00

Greggs Foundation have opened their Community Grants programme and are looking to provide core cost grants of £20,000 per year for 2 years to organisations based in Gateshead.

The priorities for this grant are:

Paul Hamlyn Foundation - Arts Fund

Deadline: Fri, 31/05/2024 - 12:00

Grants from £90,000 to £300,000 are available to build the capacity of cultural organisations that use art to create positive social change.

Help the Homeless - Capital grants

Deadline: Sat, 15/06/2024 - 12:00

Small Homeless charities can apply for capital grants of up to £5,000 that aim to help homeless people return to the community and enable them to rebuild their lives.

The charity must have an annual turnover of under £500,000 with unrestricted reserves of under 6 months.

UnLtd - Funding for social entrepreneurs

Deadline: Sun, 30/06/2024 - 12:00

Grants of up to £18,000 plus business support are available to social entrepreneurs that are looking to start or grow an existing social venture

Peter Harrison Foundation - Grassroots sports and physical activity

Deadline: Mon, 01/07/2024 - 12:00

Charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) can apply for grants of up to £50,000.

North East Humanists Community Fund - Micro Grants

Deadline: Sat, 31/08/2024 - 12:00

North East Humanists (NEH) micro grants are intended to be spent on small, stand-alone projects. These projects may be integrated into a larger set of activities, but the funds supplied should enable the entirety of the project to be completed.

National Lottery Community Fund - Climate Action Fund

The Climate Action Fund will support communities to be environmentally sustainable.

Edward Gostling Foundation - Capital Grant Programme

The Edward Gostling Foundation provides capital grants of up to £250,000 to registered charities.

Projects should be aligned with their priorities: health and wellbeing, independent living at home, respite and bringing about change in the way care is provided.

Biffa Award - Partnership Grants

Deadline: Fri, 31/05/2024 - 12:00

Expressions of interest are open for up to £1 million for the 2024 Partnerships Grants Scheme.

Applications can be submitted for both the Built Environment and Natural Environment themes.

Weavers' Company - Funding to support disadvantaged young people and offenders

Deadline: Thu, 04/07/2024 - 12:00

Organisations that support offenders and ex-offenders can apply for project and core cost funding. A secondary priority is given to supporting projects that work with young people from disadvantaged and socio-economically challenged groups.

The company operates two funding streams:

Access Sport - BMX access

To celebrate the success of Team GB BMX at the Olympics, Access Sport is offering clubs a £500 grant to put on open days so more people can try BMX. And to encourage more girls to start riding, Access Sport is also offering £500 to clubs to run sessions for girls.

Allen Lane Foundation - Young People's programme

Allen Lane Foundation has a new programme aimed at young people who are experiencing or may have already suffered significant issues in their lives.

Anchor Foundation - Christian charities - Social inclusion

Grants of between £500 and £10 000 are available to Christian charities concerned with social inclusion particularly through ministries of healing and the arts. The trustees look favourably on organisations whose boards demonstrate equal opportunities.They will consider applications for either c
