Chair of Trustees

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Board of Trustees as Chair, as our current Chair’s term of office ends.

Who we are?
Involve North East are experts in patient and public involvement. We work with service users, communities and seldom heard groups to gain the insight needed to help health and social care commissioners design the best, most responsive and cost-effective services.

We have vast experience and expertise in gathering the views and opinions of patients, carers and the general public in relation to health and wellbeing services using quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques.

What skills/knowledge will the new Chair need to have?
The Chair will provide effective direction to the Board and its committees, enabling Trustees to fulfil their responsibilities for the overall governance and strategic direction of INE, working in partnership with the CEO to support the delivery of our goals.

The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of charity management and good governance to ensure that the organisation is run effectively. They will be able to work with a high performing Board of Trustees and provide support to the CEO and the team.

We are looking for someone who can utilise their extensive experience, effectively manage board level discussions resulting in collaborative decision making which supports our beneficiaries and drives the charity towards its strategic aims. Experience within the NHS would be hugely valuable and experience board governance would be highly desirable.
