Meet the Funder - Newcastle Fund (Small Grants)

-

Our regular 'Meet the funder' events are an opportunity to hear from specific funders in depth, and ask questions about their criteria, processes and priorities. This Meet the Funder session is for organisations operating in Newcastle.

For this session, we will welcome The Newcastle Fund to share information about their Small Grants Programme. The Newcastle Fund is run by Newcastle City Council.

The Small Grants Programme has the same aims as the main grants programme, which are:

  • Building Community Connection
  • Improving Individual's Connections
  • Improving Health and Wellbeing

This round will have a pot of £87,783 with grants of up to £5,000 per organisation. Funding excludes capital funding, work for beneficiaries who are not Newcastle residents, and funding to cover costs associated with submitting the application.

You can read more about the fund, its aims and its criteria here or in the prospectus attached to the bottom of this page.

This online session will be delivered on Teams. A joining link will be sent closer to the time of the training.

Our Support and Development team helps organisations to run successfully and make a positive difference in their communities. This training is for voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations serving Newcastle and/or Gateshead.

You can only book one place for yourself. If a colleague wants to attend, they will need to book separately themselves. This training is limited to a maximum of 2 people per organisation. When you book, please ensure that you give us all the essential information requested so that we know your registration is genuine.

Our training and events are funded from a variety of sources, allowing us to offer them for free to eligible organisations. Please check the eligibility requirements for each session before signing up, as this varies from course to course. If your organisation is not eligible for a free session you may be interested in one of our tailored training packages.

Attendance and value Our staff dedicate significant time and resources to create and deliver an excellent range of training and events free of charge. We ask that you make an effort to prioritise attending our training once you have registered, and let us know as soon as possible if there is a barrier to you attending.

Accessibility Please let us know in advance if you have any accessibility requirements that would help you get the most out of this session. We will do everything we can to accommodate them.
