Meet the Funder - Gateshead Community Fund (Better Gyms)
Our regular 'Meet the funder' events are an opportunity to hear from specific funders in depth, and ask questions about their criteria, processes and priorities. This Meet the Funder session is for organisations operating in Gateshead.
For this session, we will welcome GLL to share information about their Gateshead Community Fund. GLL is a charitable social enterprise that operate leisure centres in Gateshead under the brand Better.
They are launching round 2 of the Gateshead Community Fund, designed to support community organisations, clubs and charities to help more people to move more!
Round 2 will be a pot of £25,000 with grants up to £10,000 per project available. Round 1 saw 10 projects supported across Gateshead.
The session will include:
- Information on the criteria and application process
- Ideas of the types of projects that might be funded
- Case Study on round 1 funded project
- Q&A Session
This online session will be delivered on Teams. A joining link will be sent closer to the time of the training.
Our Support and Development team helps organisations to run successfully and make a positive difference in their communities. This training is for voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations serving Newcastle and/or Gateshead.
You can only book one place for yourself. If a colleague wants to attend, they will need to book separately themselves. This training is limited to a maximum of 2 people per organisation. When you book, please ensure that you give us all the essential information requested so that we know your registration is genuine.
Our training and events are funded from a variety of sources, allowing us to offer them for free to eligible organisations. Please check the eligibility requirements for each session before signing up, as this varies from course to course. If your organisation is not eligible for a free session you may be interested in one of our tailored training packages.
