Northumbria Police and Crime Commissioner: The Supporting Victims Programme

Closing date

The Supporting Victims Programme provides funding to organisations offering cope and recovery support to victims of crime in the Northumbria force area. The programme aims to build the capacity and maximise the potential of organisations supporting victims of crime. Our vision is to ensure that:

“Victims of crime feel confident to seek help and when they do, they are provided with a choice of high-quality support tailored to meet their individual needs”

We are proud of the specialist organisations working in Northumbria to provide emotional, practical and therapeutic services and we want to continue to evolve and enhance that offer for victims in our area.

Our refreshed needs assessment has further improved our knowledge of what our victim’s needs are across Northumbria and has helped us identify the following 8 funding priorities:

  1. Domestic Abuse
  2. Sexual Violence
  3. Stalking
  4. Children and Young People
  5. Hate Crime
  6. Violent Crime
  7. Exploitation and Modern Slavery
  8. Victims with Other Vulnerabilities

To provide stability to local services, successful applicants will three-year receive grant agreements for the period of 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2029.
