B&Q Foundation: Urban Tree Planting Projects

Closing date

Grants of up to £10,000 will soon be available to UK registered charities for projects that improve homes and accommodation, or provide home-starter kits, for people in need.

The funding is provided to help individuals and families facing homelessness, domestic abuse, disability, illness, or financial hardship feel safer, more settled, and better supported. The Home Improvement Fund can support essential repairs, decorating, and other indoor and outdoor improvements, while the Home-Starter Kits Fund helps charities purchase and distribute essential household items, with a maximum of £500 per kit.

Eligible items include white goods, small electrical goods, curtains, and basic repair materials. Only charity-managed properties qualify for home and accommodation improvements.

Applications open on 20 July 2026 and close on 14 August 2026.
