VCSE Health and Wellbeing Network Event - Marmot Principles and Local Neighbourhood Health Plans
Our next Health and Wellbeing Network event will be held at Gateshead College Baltic Campus, Quarryfield Road, Baltic Business Quarter, Gateshead, NE8 3BE. The room will be open from 9:30am for informal networking.
This event is open to all VCSE organisations across Gateshead and Newcastle.
Following feedback from attendees the Health and Wellbeing Network event in September, we will continue to explore the Marmot Principles, focusing on the role of the VCSE sector in addressing health inequalities. We will also receive an update on local neighbourhood health plans.
Additionally, we will launch Round 3 of the Therapeutic Activities Grant Fund and hear updates from the WorkWell Programme and Connected Voice’s Haref/Health Equity team.
There will be an opportunity for attendees to share updates from their organisations, learn from one another, and connect with colleagues from across the sector.
Speakers confirmed so far include:
- Rachel Turnbull, UCL Institute of Health Equity Senior Consultant – presenting on the Marmot Principles and the role of the VCSE sector in this approach
- Lisa Goodwin, Connected Voice Chief Executive - presenting on the local neighbourhood health plans
