Newcastle Council Ward Committee Funding.
Ward Committee Grant Funding for 2025/26 is now closed for applications. We expect to open for new applications in June 2026
Each ward in Newcastle has money available for voluntary and community sector organisations to run projects or events which help local residents. These guidance notes explain how to apply for this funding.
Your project must benefit residents in up to four Newcastle wards.
Your application must:
- be for a single project, activity or event - organisations should send in a separate application form for each project, activity or event (for example, one application for their running costs, and a separate application for a residential course)
- target residents in the ward(s) being applied to - they must be available and accessible to all residents, unless they are for a single gender or specific interest group
- show how the local community support the project and how they have been involved so far
- demonstrate value for money by keeping records and measuring success
Your project, activity or event should fit into at least one of the following categories:
- Improving the local environment and green spaces
- Tackling climate change
- Supporting children and young people
- Employment, education and skills
- Social events and activities
- Improving health and wellbeing
