Networks
Our Connected Voice Volunteering team facilitate Networks for Volunteer Coordinators' across Newcastle and Gateshead. These Networks offer connection and an opportunity to knowledge share with like-minded people.

Newcastle Volunteer Coordinators' Network
The Newcastle Volunteer Coordinators' Network is a partnership initiative led by Connected Voice and Volunteer Centre Newcastle. It brings together professionals who support volunteers and manage volunteering programmes - whether in a paid VCSE role or as a volunteer themselves.
The network meets in-person each quarter at a venue in Newcastle, offering a space to connect, share experiences and explore key themes such as inclusion, funding, supported volunteering, and more. Meetings are often thematic and shaped by the interests and needs of the group.
Members also benefit from tailored training opportunities, organised in response to the network's identified priorities by Connected Voice and Volunteer Centre Newcastle.
If you're involved in coordinating volunteers and would like to join, please contact Nimerta Virdee, Volunteering Voice and Engagement Manager for Newcastle, at nimerta.virdee@connectedvoice.org.uk.
Gateshead Volunteer Coordinator's Network
Organised by the Gateshead Volunteer Centre, this support network is for those working alongside and supervising volunteers in the volunteering-involving organisations across Gateshead.
Our Network offers the opportunity to connect with other volunteer engagement professionals, and provides a space for support and advice, to encourage and promote excellence in volunteering across Gateshead.
The network meets on a quarterly basis to focus on a particular theme within volunteering, hosted by a VCSE organisation within Gateshead. We aim to invite a number of speakers to highlight and celebrate their work around that theme.
If you’re involved in coordinating volunteers and would like to join, please contact Harley Kuyck-Cohen, Gateshead Volunteer Development Coordinator, at harley.kuyck-cohen@connectedvoice.org.uk
