Army Benevolent Fund - Charities supporting to UK's Army Community
Closing date
The Army Benevolent Fund has announced that UK charities and Community Interest Companies can apply for funding to support frontline services for the Army community, including serving personnel, veterans, and their families.
The Army Benevolent Fund is the Army’s national charity. It provides lifelong support to serving and former soldiers and their families when they face hardship or need extra help.
To apply, organisations must:
- Be financially sustainable
- Have at least one year of audited accounts
- Demonstrate good governance
- Provide a service that meets a clear, evidenced need not already covered by other services
Funding is usually awarded for one year. Grants can support both core running costs and project costs. However, funding is unlikely to cover full project costs, specific staff posts, research, or expeditions.
Grant amounts range from a few hundred pounds to several hundred thousand pounds. First-time grants are typically under £15,000.
