Ernest Cook Trust - Outdoor Essentials Grant - State Schools

This Outdoor Essentials Grant is a £500 award to UK state funded Primary and Secondary schools to help get their pupils learning outdoors.

The Trust has linked this particular Outdoor Essentials Grant with The Queen’s Green Canopy Platinum Jubilee initiative. This unique tree planting initiative invites schools to apply for a free tree to plant in their local area. Applications can be made to the Woodland Trust, which is one of the organisations giving away hundreds of thousands of trees to schools and communities.

Applications to the Outdoor Essentials can be made separately direct to the Ernest Cook Trust for funding the necessary equipment required for the planting of trees and their ongoing care. This extends to the funding of:

Wellies & Waterproofs – Outdoor clothing to enable children and young people to learn outdoors.

Nature and Nurture – Projects to create areas where young people can connect with nature within school ground or the local community.
