Connected Voice Magazine Autumn 2026

The Autumn 2026 issue of Connected Voice Magazine, ‘Strength through Stability’ reflects upon the long-standing foundations held by the VCSE sector in the region, as we approach almost 100 years of Connected Voice.
As the sector continues to face uncertain and challenging circumstances, we want to reiterate our message that we are here to support you - no matter what you need. Please do not hesitate to reach out, together, we are stronger.
We hear from our Chief Executive Lisa Goodwin about the vital - and increasing - role that VCSE organisations have in providing stability for their communities.
For our Newcastle-based Spotlight, we hear from North Benwell Youth Project about their community work that spans generations and their trusted role within the local community.
For our Gateshead spotlight, we spoke to Peace of Mind about their personalised support for refugee families, and their pride at being a safe, consistent point of contact for people in increasingly turbulent landscape.
Elsewhere, we hear Vernon’s personal success story of support into volunteering, explore the importance of access to tech and digital skills as stepping stones to stability, and look back at 30 years of Connected Voice Advocacy!
We hope you enjoy this issue and welcome any questions you may have.
