Dormant Assets Consultation – support the Community Wealth Fund

Connected Voice is a member of the Community Wealth Alliance, which is asking the government to commit funding from the £738 million Dormant Assets Scheme to create a Community Wealth Fund. This would be used to fund social infrastructure in ‘left behind’ neighbourhoods, providing long term investment over 10-15 years, and enabling local people to take the lead in deciding how the funds are used to improve their communities.

The Community Wealth Fund Alliance now has almost 600 member organisations and is supported by more than 200 parliamentarians and 50 local authorities. The 12-week long Consultation on the Dormant Assets Funding explicitly considers community wealth funds as an option so we’re encouraging as many people as we can to take part and support the proposal.
