In Refugee Week we’re delighted to announce a grant from Linden Family Fund at Community Foundation Tyne & Wear and Northumberland to support our Refugee and Asylum Seekers Advocacy Service.
We would like to thank the funder for their generous award which we will use during 2021-22 to support refugees and asylum seekers to:
- understand their options
- make decisions
- have their voices heard
- have their rights upheld
- access services they need
- find and access community groups and networks
This service was previously funded via the Community Foundation Tyne & Wear and Northumberland (by the Pea Green Boat Community First, Daphne & Martin Cookson and Sara Alexandra Bernstone funds) and our work was assessed by them in August 2020 as having met all our objectives and an exceptional achievement and was rated as highly successful. We fully intend to use this grant to continue this work to the same high standard.
Go to Refer to Connected Voice Advocacy if you would like to make a referral for yourself or someone else to this service, which is part of our Community Advocacy service.
