Senior Admin and Finance Officer

Are you a detail-oriented leader with a passion for finance and operations? At The Angelou Centre, we're on the lookout for a Senior Admin & Finance Officer who can bring their expertise to our dynamic team and help us continue our mission of supporting Black and racially minoritised women and children.

In this role, you’ll work hand-in-hand with our Executive Director, taking the lead on all things finance, HR, and administration. You’ll ensure our organisation runs like clockwork, from managing budgets and payroll to overseeing facilities and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to make a real impact.

We’re looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, particularly within the voluntary sector. If you have a strong background in finance, HR, and operations, and share our commitment to black feminist values, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll do:
- Lead financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and managing accounts.
- Oversee HR functions, from recruitment to policy development.
- Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Support the Executive Director in strategic planning and grant management.

What we’re offering:
- A full-time, permanent position based in Newcastle upon Tyne.
- A salary of £30,296 - £37,336, plus great benefits like 28 days of paid holiday (increasing with time) and a 6% pension contribution.
