We are seeking individuals to help steer the Trust through its final phase of development and growth to c20-30 academies, with a specific focus on secondary schools. The Trust aims to add powerful momentum to the progress of its family of academies through a shared aspirational vision and inclusive ethos, where pupil progress and development of outstanding teachers are at the heart of its work. The Trust’s approach is that all schools are different and can take different routes on their journey to excellence.
We are looking to appoint individuals who can bring strategic vision, passion and experience to our Board and ideally experienced professionals in one of the following core competencies:
• Finance
• Estates/Capital Project Management
• Digital technology
• Strategic Leadership
• Change Management
Preferably, candidates will have experience of managing or working within a growing organisation, although we place the greatest emphasis on a passion for education and an eagerness to support the development of the Trust.
Board meetings are held four times a year, two on the University of Chichester’s Bognor Regis campus, one virtual, and one located in one of our academies. In addition, some Trustees may sit on either the Finance and Audit Committee or Curriculum and Standards Committee, a sub-committee of the Board, both of which meet four times a year. This may lead to an average commitment of 4- 8 hours a month.
