To know when and how to complain well
Know your rights in different situations
You’ll learn all about your rights in areas like health care, housing, and social care. You’ll learn how to find the information you need to make good choices. You’ll have better conversations and feel more in control.
For example
In healthcare, if a doctor offers you treatment, it's your right to ask questions. You might ask, "What are the side effects?" or "Are there any alternative treatments?" Asking questions helps you to make the best decisions for your health.
We call this ‘self-advocacy’. It means taking care of your needs and respecting others. This course helps you -
Know which questions to ask
Ask them with confidence
Disagree respectfully
Are you in a difficult situation?
This course can help you to learn lessons from difficult experiences. You’ll develop more ways of dealing with a problem and identify your strengths. Next time you have a problem, you’ll feel more confident.
How do people feel after this course?
“I am more confident to communicate my problems and resolve them, identify my strengths and improve myself, and know my rights in different situations.”
“I have learnt how to communicate more effectively to express my needs, manage my emotions, plan ahead, and be prepared.”
