Gateshead Digital Inclusion Training for Staff and Volunteers
This free digital inclusion training is for anyone working and/or volunteering supporting people in Gateshead.
The session will help you in making a difference without needing specialist digital and technical skills, and it will help you to:
- Develop your understanding of digital inclusion and why it matters, especially for health and social care
- Recognise the barriers that people face when trying to get online
- Build confidence in supporting people to use digital tools
- Signpost effectively to support and resources
To make the session as relevant as possible, we’ll share with you short questionnaire in advance to tailor the content of the session to your needs.
Volunteers will receive a £50 voucher.
Spaces are limited.
Refreshments will be provided.
This training will take place in person at Bensham Grove Community Centre, Sidney Grove, Gateshead, NE8 2XD

- The bus Stop located on the same side as Bensham Grove is Sidney Grove/Bensham Road. Bus Service Numbers are 96 Green Arrow, 53 Voltra, 93 East Gateshead Loop and No.1 Coaster.
- The venue is a 10 minute bus or 20 minute walk from Gateshead interchange, for regional buses and metro services
You can only book one place for yourself. If a colleague wants to attend, they will need to book separately themselves. When you book, please ensure that you give us all the essential information requested so that we know your registration is genuine.
Our training and events are funded from a variety of sources, allowing us to offer them for free to eligible organisations. Please check the eligibility requirements for each session before signing up, as this varies from course to course.
