Create and Connect: Newcastle VCSE Networking Event

Art and Creativity can be a powerful tool for charitable organisations to bring communities together, tell stories and support people's health and wellbeing. Across Newcastle and Gateshead, we see many organisations producing performances, visual art and music which offer recreation, share local culture and challenge systems to bring about social justice.  

This networking event aims to celebrate existing work in Newcastle and Gateshead and to provide a space for new connections and collaboration. This event is perfect for artists who want to make a community impact, arts-based organisations and other community groups that want to embrace art and creativity to improve the lives of their service users.  

This event will involve a showcase of art and images of projects across Newcastle and Gateshead. We will hear from a local funder, and we will take part in a variety of creative activities to promote networking and collaboration.  

We encourage you to share some creative projects that you have done at your organisation. If you would like to showcase your organisation's art project at this event, please get in touch with us to see how we can do this. 

This networking event is for voluntary organisations across Newcastle and Gateshead. There will be two events - one in Newcastle, and one in Gateshead. You are welcome to attend either event, or both!

To reduce the carbon footprint of our events, we would like to politely request that all attendees make the best effort, where viable, to travel to our events in the most environmentally friendly way possible.

• The venue has secure bike storage and free to use shower facilities 
• The venue is within 60 seconds from St James Metro Station  
• The venue is less than a 15 minute walk from Central Station  
• The venue is close to 22, 351, 354, 40 and X1 bus links 
• Many city centre bus links are within 10 minutes from the venue  

Our Support and Development team helps organisations to run successfully and make a positive difference in their communities. This event is for voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations serving Newcastle and/or Gateshead.

You can only book one place for yourself. If a colleague wants to attend, they will need to book separately themselves. When you book, please ensure that you give us all the essential information requested so that we know your registration is genuine.

Our training and events are funded from a variety of sources, allowing us to offer them for free to eligible organisations. Please check the eligibility requirements for each session before signing up, as this varies from course to course.
