Building Community: Connected Voice AGM 2026
We are delighted to share details of our next AGM, which will focus on the theme of Building Community. Our keynote speakers are Vicky McDermott, Director of Housing and Communities at Newcastle City Council, who will speak about how the Council is working in different ways to bring people together and improve lives. We will also hear from Rhodri Davies of Why Philanthropy Matters, who will give us some food for thought on the challenges of building community in the current age, where advances in technology mean we struggle to have a common understanding of what is real or true. We will also hear from member VCSE organisations Peace of Mind and Be Trans Support and Community, who will share their experiences of building and supporting communities of interest in an increasingly challenging and polarised society.
As usual, we will be sharing information on our impact over the past year, sharing our annual accounts and report, and appointing new trustees. Please look out for details of our upcoming trustee vacancies, which will be shared soon
