We’re pleased to share our programme of training and networking events for Autumn and Winter 2021. After careful consideration we have decided these events will remain online for the remainder of 2021. We’ve seen a huge uptake in some of our training thanks to the flexibility of virtual attendance. In 2022 we will offer a mix of both in person and online sessions. Until then, we look forward to ‘virtually’ seeing you at our forthcoming events.

In Autumn and Winter 2021 we bring to you our biggest range of training and events to date. There’s repeats of our popular training sessions around funding, safeguarding, climate emergency, legal structures and keeping safe online. You’ll also find new training around using data to establish need, running ‘blended’ in-person and online events, and two special sessions from volunteer expert Rob Jackson around ethical issues in volunteer management and meaningful roles for volunteers.

Connected Voice Advocacy will provide useful sessions around understanding advocacy and the Mental Health Act, and you can learn more about improving health equality with Connected Voice Haref. Connected Voice Business Services will also be offering their expertise in charity finance to help you manage your budget, adopt effective financial procedures and make the most of digital resources.

All of our training sessions are free to attend but some are only eligible for organisations serving Newcastle and Gateshead so please check before booking. If you’re not eligible to attend but still interested in any of the training listed then please get in touch with us as we may be able to offer a bespoke session to your organisation.

Alongside a comprehensive training programme, we are running three Networking Events. The first is taking place on the 6 October around the theme of Mental Health. You can find details about this event and other Networking events on our Training and Events page.
