We've had an amazing community response to the COVID-19 outbreak, with huge numbers of people willing to volunteer to help out in their local community.

The Newcastle Safeguarding Adults Board has produced a film talking about the types of safeguarding adults concerns that are being reported during COVID-19 and to encourage the public and volunteers to report concerns if they have them.

Changes to DBS ID checking guidelines

New guidance allows:

  • ID documents to be viewed over video link
  • scanned images to be used in advance of the DBS check being submitted
