Connected Voice

Connected Voice is a charity and the principal voluntary and community sector infrastructure organisation for Newcastle and Gateshead.  Our mission is to support the development of voluntary and community action that is effective, sustainable and brings about positive social change.  Connected Voice Advocacy (formerly Advocacy Centre North) is a service delivered by the charity and provides a free, independent, high quality and ethical advocacy service.

We are seeking to recruit an Independent Advocate to deliver our Hate Crime Advocacy Service. The service provides high quality, independent advocacy to support people who have experienced hate crime or have been targeted because of their race, religion, sexual orientation, disability or trans identity.

The service also seeks to raise awareness, increase skills and provide tools to challenge beliefs, attitudes, hatred, prejudice and discrimination to improve community cohesion, reduce hate crime and tackle the harm and impact on the wider community caused by hate crime.
