Reports to: Senior Mentor
Full time Permanent, 37 hours pw, £23,188 pa
Job purpose:
The Mentor will build and maintain effective rapport with inactive participants, providing intensive, long term wrap around support with a focus upon helping them identify personal goals and milestones. They will work with individuals to assist them in determining the priorities most important to them and facilitate opportunities to work through them in order to achieve meaningful, lasting positive changes to their life and circumstances.
Job objectives:

1. Manage a caseload to meet personal and team targets, including successful personal progression outcomes
2. Providing mentoring, coaching and job search support, guiding participants on their personal development journey’s in order to achieve the best possible outcomes which may include engagement with relevant support services, accessing welfare benefits systems, reducing social isolation and exploring job search and employment

3. To maintain quality client records and obtain accurate documentation needed to evidence the participant’s eligibility for the project

4. To conduct assessments with all referred participants to assess the appropriate level of support required on their journey throughout their time on programme

5. To work closely with the internal skills, careers and employability services team and relevant external statutory and community support services where appropriate to maximise participant benefit and onward progression

6. Continuously track each participant journey in order to achieve all relevant contractual outcomes, ensuring all interventions are recorded as required on the relevant CRM systems

7. Meet all standards for quality of service, safeguarding, information and data security, and any other contract requirements

8. To promote and implement Building Futures East equality principles in all aspects of employment and service delivery in line with company procedures

9. Adhere to health, safety and safeguarding principles, raising concerns as appropriate in conjunction with your role

10. Other duties commensurate with the level and nature of the post
