Newcastle City Council Budget Consultation for VCSE organisations

Join us to hear from Council Directors about the proposals for the coming year, with a further £12m in savings to be identified.

Newcastle City Council has launched its annual budget consultation, which aims to reduce Council spending by £12m in 2022-23 and also save £12m per year in the following two years. This year the People’s Budget Tool is back – meaning you can have a go at creating your own budget for the Council.

We are holding this consultation session for the Voluntary and Community sector on 16th December at 1.30pm. It will be attended by the Council’s Director of Resources, Assistant Director of City Futures, and the Adult Social Care Head of Integrated Services.

It is important that VCSE organisations get an opportunity to discuss these proposals with key decision makers at the Council, and talk through their potential impact. You can see the proposals here:

Please book a place at the consultation session here.  It will be delivered by Zoom

(Note: Gateshead Council will start their consultation process slightly later. We will share details of our voluntary and community sector consultation session as soon as we get them.)
